Clients

Who is eligible?

People considered to be homeless and in priority need, People threatened with homelessness, Under 25s, People with mental health problems, People with physical disabilities

Client services

• Assistance with finding properties in the PRS
• Bond Guarantees
• Fast track Housing Benefit service
• Housing Benefit assistance
• Information packs provided on the local area
• Practical support for tenants (e.g. advice on setting up tenancy/deposit)
• Property inspection
• Referral to support services
• Referrals to funiture projects
• Relevant certificates obtained before tenancy (Gas Safety Certificate etc)
• Tenancy support service

Support Services will do the signposting for other services including education/employment etc

How are referrals made?

Via the Homelessness Assessment Team and other support agencies

• Bond guarantee
• Direct payment of Housing Benefit
• Fast track Housing Benefit claims
• Housing Benefit assistance
• Inventory
• Mediation services
• Model tenancy agreements

The scheme also includes a landlord advisor
