Response to CLG's discussion paper on rough sleeping

Communities and Local Government recently issued a discussion paper on tackling rough sleeping. The London Housing Foundation submitted a response to CLG, focusing on how the Private Rented Sector can be better utilised as part of a comprehensive strategy to tackle rough sleeping. We argue that many rough sleepers can be supported directly into the PRS, without the need to go into supported housing. Currently, no such provision is in place.
Our response calls for local, sub-regional or indeed a regional strategy to establish a pathway from rough sleeping to private renting.

The paper is eight pages long and you can download it and other resources commissioned or created by the Foundation in the 'Our Publications' section.
