The core of the London Housing Foundation’s current funding programme is focused on developing new ways of using the private rented sector (PRS) to provide an effective resource for single homeless people.
The Foundation seeks to make a major contribution to unlocking the PRS for single homeless people. We are doing this through providing both funding for new initiatives and a focus for learning, dissemination and action for all those involved in any PRS initiative: homeless people, tenants, landlords, homeless agencies, local authorities and others.
While we are working towards a three year
vision and strategy, the work programme is set annually, to ensure that the Foundation remains responsive to what is a quickly moving field. The work programme referred to in this section applies to 2007-8.
While the work programme for the year has been set, we will remain adaptive and responsive and may add to it if resources allow and if we can make a positive impact.
If you would like to make suggestions about areas that the PRS work programme could usefully cover in relation to the PRS and non-statutory homelessness either this or next year, please contact
Harmit Kambo.
