Ending tenancies

At some point the tenancy will come to an end. This can be a positive step, when the tenant is ready to move on, or has saved for a cash deposit. For all schemes the objective will be to ensure that tenancies end with the minimum of disruption and cost (both in money and goodwill) to both the scheme itself and also to the landlords and tenants. Satisfied landlords will be far more likely to agree to take another tenant through a PRS scheme.

The final section of Chapter Seven of the Crisis Good Practice Guide gives some useful tips on what to do when a tenancy is coming to an end. There is also information on what to do when a tenant abandons a property before the end of a tenancy and without notice.
